Deposit-Hancock (S4) falls to Oriskany (S3) 11-3 in the NYS Class-D Baseball Regional round at Windsor HS. A tough loss today for the Eagles. Kaden Rynearson and Tyler Reis both crack doubles in the loss. Tyler drives in 2 RBIs. 5 runs in the 4th and 4 runs in the 6th lifts Oriskany.
Pulaski (S3) clips Unatego/Franklin (S4) 3-2 in the NYS Class-C Baseball Regional round at OCC. A fantastic season comes to a close for U/F. Braeden Johnson finishes with 14 strikeouts in a 4-hitter. He only gives up 1 earned run today. Xander Johnson goes 3-for-3 with 1 double and 1 run. Jake Kingsbury adds 1 hit and 1 run. Chase Birdsall chips in 2 hits.
4-Unatego/Franklin tops 2-Trumansburg 4-0 to win the 2024 S4 Class-C Baseball championship. First sectional title in program history for U/F. Also the first sectional title for Unatego and for Franklin separately. Braeden Johnson tosses a no-hitter with 11 Ks. Congrats!
1-Deposit-Hancock blanks 3-Elmira Notre Dame 10-0 in 5 innings to win the 2024 S4 Class-D Baseball championship at Windsor HS. 3rd straight S4 title for the Eagles. It’s the 5th title since D-H combined (2024, 2023, 2022, 2018 and 2017).
1-Oneonta defeats 2-Waverly 5-3 to win the 2024 S4 Class-B Baseball championship. This is the 6th sectional crown for the Jackets program (2024, 2022, 2015, 2012, 2002 and 1993). Ryan Wright tosses in 8 Ks for the ACK. Matthew Carman smashes 1 triple. Braydon Baciuska adds 1 hit and 1 run.
9-Cooperstown falls to 8-LaFayette 11-3 in the S3 Class-C Baseball Tournament. Lafayette moves on to play top-seed Bishop Ludden on Thursday. Coop finishes the season with a record of 7-11.
4-Windsor dumps 3-Johnson City 13-3 in the elimination game of the S4 Class-A Baseball Tournament. Windsor now faces OFA on Wednesday. Ashton Werner smashes 2 hits to pace the offense. Ryan Kristof and Nico Soriano combine for 6 Ks on the hill.
5-Edmeston/Morris clips 4-Gilboa/Windham 5-3 in the S4 Class-D Baseball Tournament at WAJ. E/M advances to take on Deposit-Hancock in the Semis on Wednesday.
