Oakfield-Alabama (S5) defeats Windham (S4) 4-1 to win the 2026 NYS Class-D Softball Championship. An amazing season comes to a close for WAJ. The Warriors finish with a record of 21-1. Hannah Tuttle finishes with 13 strikeouts in a 5-hitter. She adds 1 RBI at the plate. Piper Cohane chips in 2 hits and 1 run. Kylie Jordan adds 1 hit and Mikenzie Schoonmaker smashes 1 triple. What an amazing season for this Windham Softball program. So much history was made this year. Delaware League champs, S4 champs and a fantastic run to the state title game. As far as I know a DL SB team has never been in the state title game until now. Be proud WAJ!

The Warriors advance to the state final four for the first time in program history. The dream season continues for WAJ! Windham will face the winner of Fort Ann (S2) and Crown Point (S7) in the state semis. They play on 6/6 at 1 PM at Plattsburgh HS. 5-Windsor suffers a 10-9 setback in 8 innings to 4-Lansing in the second round of the S4 Class-B Softball Tournament on the road. LHS scores 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th and 1 run in the 8th to take it. Payton Baret smokes 2 doubles and drives in 4 RBIs for the Black Knights. Berkley Ingram nails 1 triple and scores 3 runs. Emily Flagg stacks up 2 hits, 2 runs and 2 RBIs.
7-Delhi falls to 2-Union Springs 10-0 in the second round of the S4 Class-C Softball Tournament on the road. DA finishes a historic season with a record of 11-6. Springs improves to 16-1. Gracie Chalupnicki tosses a no-hitter for the Wolves with 13 Ks.
